Insurance Practices

🧾 Insurance Policy at Whipple Creek Wellness

A Friendly Heads-Up on How We Handle Insurance

At Whipple Creek Wellness, our goal is to keep billing clear and simple so you can focus on your mental wellness—not paperwork. Here’s what you need to know:

✅ Checking Your Coverage

  • We may check your insurance benefits as a courtesy, but it’s your responsibility to confirm we’re in-network with your plan.

  • Please know your coverage details—like deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance—so there are no surprises.

💬 Consent to Care

By receiving care at Whipple Creek Wellness (for yourself or your child), you’re agreeing to services such as evaluations, treatment, supportive psychotherapy, and other mental health care.

🔒 Privacy & Confidentiality

We value your privacy. We’ll only share information when it’s required to:

  • Process insurance claims

  • Meet legal or regulatory requirements

  • Respond to safety concerns or ensure quality care

Otherwise, your information stays private.

📬 Billing Insurance Directly

  • We’ll submit claims on your behalf to your insurance provider.

  • By receiving services, you authorize us to bill your insurance and share the necessary information to support the claim process.

  • If your insurance sends payment directly to you, please forward it to us.

💳 Your Financial Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance

  • Balances not covered due to coverage changes, lapses, or non-covered services

💵 Cash Pay Option

  • We offer self-pay rates for patients not using insurance.

  • Important: Federal regulations do not allow us to accept private-pay from patients with Medicare coverage—even if they choose not to use their benefits.

🚫 Medicare Policy

We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

⏰ Missed Visit Fee

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 business hours in advance.

  • Missed or late-canceled visits are subject to a $150 fee (not billable to insurance).
